Figeholm Elboard HDLP and HDLC

HDLP is laminated with polyester resin (dry process). It has the higher mechanical strength of the two materials. Water diffusion and oil impregnation across the laminations is virtually impossible. Processing of large bodies of the material may therefore be facilitated by drilling
diffusion holes through the material.

HDLC is laminated with casein glue (water-based). The mechanical strength is somewhat lower than for HDLP. The original moisture content of the material as delivered is higher than for HDLP, but diffusion of moisture and oil impregnation is possible (although slow) across the laminations. The material is preferred for certain applications with relatively high dielectric
stress.

• Precompressed pressboard is laminated ,even fibre orientation, hard and dimensionally
• Natural-coloured
• High purity and mechanical strength
• Low shrinkage and compressibility
• Good compatibility with liquid dielectrics
• Insulation class A (105° C) in accordance with VDE 0530 Part 1

Application

• As support between the winding and the yoke e.g:
• Pressure plates
• Pressure rings
• General spacer material in the yoke insulation
• Winding support blocks
• As support for cleats and leads

• Available in thickness of 10mm – 120mm
• Available in widths of 3100 X 2050 or 2000 X 1000mm
